The Story Behind the Stories

Myths & Malice began in 2008, when true crime podcasting barely existed. Shane Waters — an investigative journalist in Indiana — started recording because he believed the stories of victims deserved to be told with rigor, respect, and the kind of depth that only comes from real investigative experience.

What started as one show became a network. Today, Myths & Malice is home to six active shows covering true crime, dark history, the paranormal, and forgotten stories from across America and the world.
